Removal of Skin Lesions & Cysts

Dr. Majewski performs removal of skin lesions (benign and malignant) as well as subcutaneous masses (cysts, fatty tumors, i.e. lipomas, and others).

Most of those procedures are done in the office under local anesthesia. Occasionally, due to the location, size or type of the lesion, removal in the operating room may be needed. In these cases, an outpatient procedure is scheduled at a hospital or the Surgery Center at the Reserve, which is located conveniently next door to our office.

The removal of most skin lesions and cysts is covered by insurance. Click here to see if we accept your insurance.

Dr. Majewski also performs reconstructive procedures to close the defects created by removal of lesions even if the lesion was removed by another physician, for example by a Mohs (dermatologic) surgeon.

If you are looking to remove freckles, sun spots, or other forms of hyper-pigmentation for cosmetic reasons, Dr. Majewski might recommend a laser treatment (performed by our aestheticians at M Spa) instead of a surgical procedure.
